- ➤ New businesses will soon begin construction in Montgomery County with a PetSmart in Willis scheduled for May to August 2026, a Public Storage with work planned from September 2025, and a La Dolce Nail Spa starting construction this month. Other projects in the county include a Chuy’s in Willis, a Woodforest Medical Office Center and a church in Montgomery, plus an AutoZone, a Kelsey-Seybold facility and a Spanish Schoolhouse in Conroe with work set for August through November 2025—each project promising to expand local retail and service options. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On July 8 at about 1:45 a.m., Conroe Police responded to a report of a missing five-year-old at the Holiday Inn Piney Shores Resort on Piney Shores Drive and, after a coordinated search with local agencies (including Conroe Police Patrol and Investigations Division, Montgomery County offices, and local fire departments), found the child safe around 9:25 a.m. after he wandered from his family's condo into an adjacent unlocked unit.
