- ➤ Texans must register to vote by October 6—submitting a paper application at a local election office—to join the November 4 election that will include local races and 17 proposed constitutional amendments. Early in-person voting will begin on October 20 and end on October 31 while mail-in ballots must be received by October 24. KSAM
- ➤ Conroe firefighters are asking voters for signatures to put collective bargaining on the ballot in May, saying the process will boost staffing and training while keeping taxes the same—supporting a safer fire service. Conroe Today
