Good morning, Conroe.

Today from 6 to 9 at Timberline Crossing in Conroe a fashion show and dinner offers a runway display with food and fun—on October 11th residents can join a swim fundraiser at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Montgomery, enjoy free document shredding at Smart Financial Credit Union, shop at a fall market, and celebrate Oktoberfest at Southern Star Brewing Company. These events give a variety of ways for the community to enjoy the weekend.

Conroe City Council deferred discussion on a proposed ordinance that would require a permit for any gathering of 25 or more people on public property plus the rules include a $500 fee, proof of liability insurance and a deposit for cleanup costs.

The council has not set a new date to revisit the measure amid local concerns over its impact on peaceful protests.
